On Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m., the children’s department resumes its preschool story lesson. “An Arctic Adventure” is also planned for Thursday, January 20, 2022, 5:00 p.m. in the children’s room. A cookbook club will take place in the Antwerp branch on January 24th at 5:45 pm. The book club will take place on January 10th at 6:00 p.m. ABL offers a crochet club once a month. The Grover Hill Branch Munchkin Club storytime will be rescheduled to 10:30 am on January 10th and 24th. Something new begins on January 10th at his Lego Building Week for the whole family. See how GHBL is transformed into a Legoland full of building potential. The Photography Club takes place on Thursday the 13th at 5:00 p.m. Bring your camera and an open mind. Book Club is back with a sequel to the December selection, discussion on “The Letter Keeper” will be on Wednesday at 4pm. Join the library team on Monday 24th after school until 7pm GHBL is hosting a tie dye party for tweens and teens. Bring a shirt or material you’d like to dye, and we’ll provide the color and instructions. Fridays are always FREE with take / make activities, popcorn and more. The library ends in January with the raffle for the book / film of the month.

The Oakwood Branch will offer several new monthly programs. January 4th starts with puzzles, bring a new or used puzzle and take a puzzle home with you. There will also be an area dedicated to a community puzzle. Hat making is offered daily. Every Monday at 11 a.m. is Storytime and Lady’s Card Club. On January 5th, the Good Morning Book Club for adults will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Every Friday there is a handicraft for children. January 13th is adult bingo at 11:30 am and making hot chocolate bombs from 5 pm-7pm. On January 10th the Quilt it Club starts, where we will do a quilt block of the month, it will be online and in person. Every Wednesday of the month we will be running an online Instant Pot demo that will teach various features and recipes. We are also starting a Kids Book Club and will meet on January 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for children aged 11 and over. On January 27th, our children’s cookbook club meeting will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for children aged 7 to 16. Friends of the Paulding County Carnegie Library will meet on Monday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the Buy the Book used bookstore, located in the annex. January is the registration month for the friend group.
Black Swamp Bookworms meet at 6:30 p.m. in the annex. We read “I have your number” by Sophia Kinsella. Everyone is welcome.
