Rita M. (Werner) Moss, aged 101, mentor, died Monday January 10, 2022 at Salida Woods Assisted Living, mentor. She was born on April 6, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Moss lived in Willoughby, OH for a long time. She worked at Fisher Foods in downtown Willoughby and also for Addressograph-Multigraph in Euclid as an archivist. She also did office work for her husband’s business, Rite Grind Service. Rita was an energetic and extremely kind woman who touched the lives of those around her. Her excellent sewing skills resulted in many valuable items for her family and friends. She taught her granddaughters to sew and crochet. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and never missed a game. She loved to play cards, entertain, sing and play the accordion. Born into a musical family, she especially loved playing polka music together. Her contagious spirit and loving heart could never be replaced. Those who survived include their daughters: Jane (Jim) Jackson; Grandchildren: Jennifer (Brent King) Arrasmith, Amanda (Andrew Bottolfson) Rabatin and Shannon (Michael) Arnold; Great-grandchildren: Hayden and Violet Arrasmith, Cedar Otis Bottolfson and Grace Arnold and sister: Audrey Smith. Preceding Rita in death are her devoted husbands of 73 years: Otis W. “Dub” Moss; beloved son: James O. Moss; grandsons-in-law: William Arrasmith; Parents: Casper and Marie Werner; Siblings: Betty Kaletta and Melvin Werner. The family welcomes friends from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH. 44060. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Willoughby Cemetery, Willoughby, OH.
