ProgramsStorytime will resume from January 11th on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 10.30am for children aged 2 to 5 years. Call 608-742-4959, extension. 211 to register.

The Book Buddies program for children in grades K-5 takes place from 10-11 a.m. on January 22nd. Portage High School Key Club will be in the library to listen to attendees read. Call 608-742-4959, extension. 211 to register.

The children’s program from Games on iPads is planned for January 27 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for grades 3 to 5. Play Minecraft, Angry Birds, or other apps on iPad. Limited number of iPads available. Call 608-742-4959, extension. 211 to register.

Middle School Arts & Crafts will create String Art on Wednesday from 3: 45-4: 45 p.m. in the Teen Room. This program is open to grades 6-8 with snacks and drinks. Come to the library and do your own take-away art project.

The adult beginner crochet program takes place on January 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Bidwell room. Learn the basics of crochet with the instructor, all materials included. Register in advance at 608-742-4959 extension. 205 or send an email to programmes@portagelibrary.us to register.

The Winter Reading Challenge 2022 runs until March 1st. The more reading cards are given, the more prizes there are to be won. Adults, young people and children can take part. Great prices for all ages. Stop at the library to sign in.
