These bags can be made with leftover yarn and a 4mm crochet hook.

This crochet bag is super simple and easy. It’s a beginner project that will leave you with more confidence than you came in.

This project consists of only about eight or nine steps and should take just under an hour and a half depending on your crochet speed. Being a slow crochet artist myself, it took me about 2 hours to complete this project in about an hour and a half though.

For my project, I decided to make a large crochet bag for my crystals so I can keep them in my car.

As someone who has become more interested in astrology in recent years, I like to have a bag of crystals with me whenever I’m on luck and good intentions.

This project helped me create a brand new bag for my crystals. The bag is a quart size and the yarn I chose was a stretchy material to make sure it would fit the maximum number of items.

I used a 4mm crochet hook and thin scrap yarn that I had at home. It’s perfect as a gift for a friend or for wrapping small items.

The bag can also be used for things like jewelry, small trinkets, and anything else that matters to you.

So without further ado, let’s make the bag! Who knows, maybe it will wear something important later and who would want to miss that?

Dimensions: 8 inches high and 6 inches wide

Crochet hook size: 4 millimeters

Time: 1 1/2 hours

Step 1: Row 1: Chain 70

Step 2: Row 2-20: Double crochets in each stitch. To switch rows, chain two additional chain stitches, turn the work over and crochet tightly in each stitch, starting with the second from the end.

Step 3: creating the pocket: Fold the rectangle vertically so that it is 35 stitches high and 20 rows wide. Crochet a single 35 stitches to join both sides of the bag to create the seam. I recommend starting with the top of the bag and crocheting down so there isn’t any string left.

Step 4: other side of the bag: Repeat step three for the other side / seam of the bag, flipping it over so the seams are on the inside.

Step 5: the string: Chain 150 and sew the cords into the ends

Step 6: weaving the cord: On one side, between the 10th cord from both sides, thread part of the cord, then skip two rows on the left and thread it through the pocket.

Step 7: finishing the string: Repeat step six, skipping two rows until the string is completely threaded through the pouch.

Step 8: beads: Add beads of your choice to the strings to add some weight and to hold the bag tight.

These instructions conclude the tutorial on how to crochet the bag. Enjoy your new bag to store important items. With each unique touch, these bags can be used for any purpose.

So what are you waiting for? Make these bags for you, your friends, and everyone else. They are simple, stylish, and most importantly, made by your own hands.
