For those of you who don’t know, the professional diver is an avid knitting and crochet superstar and posts his creations on his’Made with love by Tom Daley‘Instagram account. It all started with the single father giving away his designs to collect money The Brain Cancer Charity – a charity that was close to his heart after his father died of a brain tumor in 2011.

Tom recently took to Instagram and showed off one of his latest creations he made in Tokyo. “I don’t usually post things on my ‘Made With Love’ page that aren’t necessarily knitting, but me and Matty, my synchro partner, won the Olympics yesterday,” Daley said on the clip, making the move showing his gold medal out to the camera. “I thought I would come here just to say that the only thing that kept me sane throughout the process is my love of knitting, crocheting, and sewing.”

The Olympian thanked all of his followers for accompanying him on his journey.

Tom thanked his fellows on Instagram

“But not only that, I’ve made myself a bit comfortable for my medal so it doesn’t get scratched,” he said, revealing a knitted bag for his medal.

Besides his bag, we’ve seen him create an outfit for his friend’s dog and a cardigan … is there anything this man can’t do?

If you are inspired by Tom Daley, here are some basic things for beginners to start knitting or crocheting – we predict that Tom inspired many of us to make our stitch this year.
